It was cold. However, it was dry, and Hollinwell lived up to its reputation to put a smile on every face, regardless of the temperature.

 

This wonderful golf course, never fails to please its visitors.

 

I am hopeful that the ever obliging manager, David Holmes, will be able to find us another date to come back in the autumn. Watch this space.

 

It was certainly tight at the top. Three teams came in with 91 and were vying for a place on the podium. Unfortunately, Neil Barnfield’s team were beaten on count back by Chris Hobbs team and Robin Fenn‘s team.

 John Robinson nearly had a very expensive day as his nearest the pin on 13 was dangerously close to a hole-in-one.

 

Nicola Sturgeon‘s toyboy and SNP hunk of the week, James McMahon butchered his drive off the 3rd to take a commendable longest drive prize.
